Initially developed by the American Industrialist George Pullman, a magic name, evoking luxury and adventure: the Orient-Express, the large leather armchair, the sleeping-cars decorated by Lalique, the Vuitton trunks on the misted platform due to steam locomotives... Unfortunately, except for the small numbers of travelers on some still running trains, the name Pullman disappeared from the landscape. Owner of the brand since the acquisition of the Compagnie des wagons-lits in 1991, Accorhotels gave it new life.
